From here on out my user name will be my current weight....I'm 6' 178 lbs and never been confused as a skinny runner but I have been known to throw down from time to time. My dream user name is "172".

God, I hope to break 100 soon. Good luck with 172!!!

Posting by numbers isn't anywhere near as fun, nor as easy to remember. Should I register 172-178 so that you have to hit 171?

I haven't run much since my last post. I am also 7 years old.
I think it's funny how people think losing weight will help them run faster. Sure losing some fat, down to around 4% (I don't even think many elites are that low) or so will help you run faster, but below that your times will increase dramatically. Also, burning off too much muscle won't help. A lot of girls think they have to be below 100 pounds. Unless you are shorter than 5-1.5, then 100 pounds is underweight and will be slowing you down, not making you faster. If I were a coach, I would not let underweight runners compete, whatsoever and would also restrict their mileage. Life isn't very fun at 25 miles a week and no cross training.
