"Significant accumulations expected." Could be tough for 8K Nationals. Anyone from here running?

Who cares? No one likes New York anyway.
Wretched hole of a town.
If this was a typical NYRR race, it would get cancelled (or turned into a fun run). They've cancelled races when there was two inches of snow on the ground. I'm interested to see how this will play out. An interesting scenario would be if the NYRR cancel the 7:30AM club team scoring race and still hold the 8K Champs at 9:00AM. To be honest, anything is possible. Nothing good will come out of this.....
If this forecast doesn't change, the snow (~6") is supposed to end a few hours before the race. Plow it, salt it, run. It should be ok. The wind looks like it's going to be tough.

We're getting blasted right now. Any word on the races?
This ain't cross country. No problems!
What the hell are they thinking having the 8k National race in NY. Didn't they know it was going to snow. Tomorrow's forecast for Boulder is 68 and sunny.
The real question you guys should be asking is how are all the athletes in the championship race going to get to New York. Flights are being cancelled left and right.
Most of the elite athletes were already in the city.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh 7 inches of snow is scary!
Is this a sign of global warming?

No, but it's a sure sign you are a moron.
Why are these athletes braving this stuff? New York City is the most dangerous city in the world over the last 10 years if you are worried about a terrorist attack and getting killed. Combine that with criminals so brazen to beat up 101 year olds using walkers for $37. Not to mention all the crime and the huge number of illegal handguns combing the streets. What are they thinking?
And why is Torres running? How does this fit into his racing for the summer? Doesnt this hurt him. Racing in the cold he could get injured, if 12k on grass is going to interrupt his summer racing, what about an 8k on the icy roads in cold temperatures.

Were you being sarcastic? Your name makes me think you're being serious.
I feel pretty confident that the training in 80 degrees has him properly prepared for this 8k in snow and winds.

I nominate this guy for letsrun pussy of the month.
clueless
it was $33 (not $37) the black man stole from the 101 year old white woman. He checked himself into a mental institution so police can't touch him until he checks himself out. That should be a lesson to all you criminals...check into a mental institution, avoid be arrested.
what was the first line of The Departed again...?

I should register the name Mr. Sarcasm. It is my handle and I post regularly as Mr. Obvious, not only in obvious situations. I was just having fun.
