18:31. three seconds off of hesch's course record. trivia question: brad hudson finished what place when he last ran the midnight run?
I believe the last time Hudson ran the new years eve race was when he was in HS and I think he won it in 23:35 (may have been slower, pretty sure it was sub 24) or so (it was a 8K at that time). this would have been about '83 or '84.
I second that. He's Back!
I have been reading where Brandon Leslie is running good so he should be in top 5.
so McGowan is still a miler and we should expect to see him in the outdoor season?
very good memory. he won it at age 21 and he was second the following year at age 22. i assume he was out of high school :) and yes, morgan's time was for 4miles, the course was changed in 96 to a 5k and again in 2000 to a 4mi. funny that it never had any great money but almost always managed to get 1 or 2 "names". over the years: O'Sullivan, Hudson, Creighton, Kariuki,Trautman, Bickford(s), Sherry, Carroll, (ladies) Rudolph, Jennings, Bakoulis, Jones.
don't forget about macharia yuot...he's running this weekend and should be on that list
Are they running the loop that is going to be the Olympic Trials course or is it another course?
same course.
has it been that long? what exactly happened to him?

I hear that his training is going very well and he is in great shape. This well be his first race in over a year and a half. So it will be nice to see him running again.
Why isn't there a womens 8k national championships? Seriously, NYRR hosted it last time. I realize that most of this post is from adolecent boys, but wtf?
because the NYC marathon has the MENS marathon trials and BOSTON has the womens trials. if boston wants to pony up 30K+ in prize money, they are welcome to host a womens race on part of the proposed boston WOMENS trials course.

I will only note that I haven't seen Abdi run well in cold conditions. Saturday is supposed to be cold.
He is actually in the NYRR 8k that morning, not the USATF race.
Thats so weak you piss ant chauvanist pig. So NYRR is not sponsoring road running to help the develpment of US athletes, but only to help the promotion of NYRR. But then the real question is why doesn't another sposor step forward. The men have a 8k and 10 championship that the women do not have. Isn't USATF accountale under some rule of fairness. Are all you boys to busy jacking off to care?
For the first 3 years this was a men's only championship. Only once, in '05 when it was on Randall's Island, did they host both a men's and women's championship. It is probably the logistics of tieing up Central Park for an extra 45 minutes that limits them to hosting one race, and yes, the main tie-in is w/ the men's marathon Trials course. Look for more of the same for Healthy Kidney 10K and NYC Half (there would probably be a bit too much of an outcry if they tried to make the Mini co-ed).
maybe you should learn to use the I-N-T-E-R-N-E-T. google "tufts 10k USA Womens Championship" you DO have a 10k champs, last year WE DIDN'T. if i own a motorcycle shop, do you think i'm going to put on a bowling competition to help my shop??? hell no. if i own a MARATHON, perhaps i'll put on a similar race, at a similar venue to publicize my race. jeez, do you have no concept of marketing your own business (because that's what the NYC Marathon is kid, a business.)

Most of your post was from adolescent boys? That's weird.
