Waterworld.
Waterworld.
The Departed where everyone magically dies at the end one after the other in near-perfect sequence; so silly in an otherwise incredible movie.
I need you like Ben Affleck needed acting school. He was terrible in that movie. Pearl Habor sucked just a little bit more than I need you.
And Titanic/Babel were pretty overrated. I wanted to kill myself to end the pain of boredom

What is Brown Bunny? I've never heard of that movie?
The only reason to see Brown Bunny is to watch the infamous Chloe Sevigny unsimulated b****** scene that got her dropped from the William Morris Agency.

"unsimulated b****** scene" do you mean as in oral? Wow! Are you for real? If so, was it really real? They do alot of graphics stuff and behind the head camera angles in a lot of softcore movies.
It was real. Do a Google Image search and you'll see what we're talking about.

OH MY GOD! That is crazy. I saw the pictures and even saw a movie clip. That doesn't look like anything but the REAL thing. There is isn't a way to fake that camera angle. Hotness.
Eric Bloom, you are soooo right!
The Brown Bunny thing can be faked if Vincent Gallo (is it Vincent?) is packing a fake...you know.

I can't believe in four pages nobody has mentioned "The Wicker Man." Complete shit movie with a complete shit ending. The worst I have ever seen in my life and I have watched several thousand films.
All of you who bash the Lord of the Rings movies are a bunch of boring morons. I can understand why you would be disappointed with the first movie if (a) you are not familiar with the story, or (b) the second and third movies are not available to you. But since (b) cannot conceivably be true (you all make enough money to rent a pair of DVDs, right?), then I recommend watching the first one again after you have seen the second and third ones. Better yet, if you want the full experience, watch all three in a row.
(And there is a resolution to the first LOTR movie. The fellowship splits, Frodo decides to take the Ring to Mt. Doom by himself, but is accompanied by Sam in that emotionally thrilling scene in which Sam nearly drowns.)
The fact remains that although many movies can have several installments or parts or sequels; the first movie did not end. They kept talking about the ring blah blah blah but didn't end it. It was a lousy ending because there was no ending. Being based on a book is no excuse.
I know that the ring movies have a very strong geek following and it is blastfamous to cut them down but it did not end. Yes, I knew it was based on a book but it should still stand on it's own. No thanks to all three!
I liked the departed but thought the ending sucked too. it seems like they just decided to wrap the movie up quick and after debating someone came up with the idea, "Why don't we just have everyone get shot in the f***ing head!" Then everyone musta decided that was a brilliant idea so they went through with it. Yeah, not a good ending.
I second the vote for 'The Wicker Man'. My girlfriend and I were both going, "That's it ?" total crap.

It wasn't faked. Vincent Gallo and Chloe Sevegney were dating at one time, but not the time the movie was made. Gallo directed that movie... do you think he wanted that scene faked?
The remake of The Vanishing completed changed the ending from the original, removing any point to the film.
Please oh wise one tell us how you would have ended the movie...
If you had read the books then you really would realize that that was the best and only way to end the first movie.
There really is no concieviable way to end the first movie without ruining the whole trilogy.
Also, most triologies are not based off of books. Secondly Peter Jackson said that he was trying to make the movies exactly like the books so therefore he could not deviate to much from the books in order to create you ending for the first movie.
He did the best he could while still following the books.
The second movie deffinantly ending.
I hate to say this again but your missing out if you haven't read the books. YOu can read them all on one long weekend if you really wanted to. However, if you didn't like the movies at all don't read the book they are very close together.
I hate the ending to Mississippi Burning. Those guys should have been free.
