some predictions...
mile: it's hard to say who will actually run this. since i don't know, i'll just take my darkhorse pick O'Callaghan from Yale. he's fierce. he bit me once. honest.
800/1000: kaijala wins whichever he chooses. though he's more vulnerable in the 1000. boylan-pett or gertzen could snatch the 1k if he falters.
3k: nightengale. completely untouchable in this event. will he come back for the 5k or the DMR on sunday? or possibly do mile trials before and finals on sunday? maag should take runner-up easily here too if he runs it.
5k: nobody likes to run the indoor 5k. nightengale and maag don't have times for the fast heat (i could be wrong) so they shouldn't be in there unless they feel like pacing each other in the slow heat (which is possible and they could probably go 1-2 that way). but i don't think they'll be in it, so i predict that the guy with the best time this year will be the best on that day, Gallagher from Yale. he will run a 27 for his last lap. that should be enough.
4x8: penn. good mid-d always.
DMR: the best (most exciting) race of the meet. too hard to predict.
those are some thoughts. good luck to all.
