I'm still amazed no one found this before me. The things I do for you all. Seriously if someone is interested in going to the event and tape recording what they say about her and what she says LetsRun.com might pay for you.
Bay Area Annual Induction Ceremony to be held on Friday, February 9, 2007, at the Temple on the Hill, Oakland, California. Tickets: $125 & $150. This is our major scholarship fundraiser and a Black Tie Optional Event.
Think that's it?
Send me a plane ticket wejo! I will be your proxy and ask her all the EPO questions! Can even stir up the Bay Area media and get them to ask BALCO questions too!
Just give the word wejo and I'm there!
Ditto, pleasssssssssseeeeeee send me there. You thought Paula Radcliffe's "Drug Cheats" sign stirred up some commotion, you haven't seen what I can do.
Boston keeps bringing Uta again and again as a queen there; I just saw Mary Slaney invited to Milrose Games... As long as we keep praising these "positive" athletes as heros and heroins, not much will ever change. And whatever happened to Marion Jones case...or Gatlin case? We stop seeing their names in the headline, we'll forget about them and go on using performance enhancing drugs and young athletes will think it's perfectly fine (because people will forget about it eventually).
Jacobs did run fast and was successful prior to her drug use, if that helps.
It doesn't help one bit. Once a cheat, always a cheat
Like she isnt the only who has cheated. Everyone has. and even more in track and field are, just hasnt been caught yet. Let her have some time...who cares..she isnt running now.

When did she start using?
If you can't provide that date, then how can you say she was successful "prior to her drug use"?

So I ask, "what's the big deal". They had their December special meeting at a Vegas Outback Steakhouse. Not necessarily a "real" organization.
A better question here is "When will the Caucasion & European Hall of Fame have their ceremony? Oh nevermind, it's politically correct to celebrate one's skin color. Well, unless that skin color is not white.
OohFah, It's not politically correct...
No, I didn't mean to. It's just me being a dumb foreigner D-: Call me FES.

Here's what I just sent to this organization:
I am appalled that Ms. Jacobs, an athlete caught using performance enhancing drugs and banned fron Track and Field, is being inducted to the Sports Hall of Fame. Your vision statement talks in part about youngsters emulating "our true heroes of the past". I suppose that means using drugs and cheating to get ahead? Ms. Jacobs is no hero. She is the antithesis of what your organization states it stands for and is not someone any person should hold in esteem.

I sent this:
First it's drug cheat Regina Jacobs. Who's next, celebrated author OJ Simpson?
You guys can't read. It's the ethNic Hall of Fame, not ethic.
