Do you know of a high school xc coaching position open in the fall of 2007?
If so, name the school and if you have a contact, please list it.
Thank you.

That could be some list.
Do you realize that some states require you to be a teacher at the school in order to coach? Do you realize that XC coaches usually have to be able to teach a subject that is open (schools will always make room for a football or basketball coach).
Luv2run, the original post was straight forward, asking if you know of any positions open. Some school require a teaching degree, some don't and none that I know of require a degree for an assistant coaching position, which is what most distance coaches are.
"Do you realize?".... being a pessimist is annoying and belittling.
there's a difference between distance coach and xc coach; the later tends to be considered a head, not assistant, coach.
there are quite a few high schools in the 50 states and territories of these united states. is the OP willing to move anywhere or is there a specific state/region you're interested in? i know of some sites that could be helpful - probably not this early in the year, though - for certain states.
I'll never consider a high school coaching job, especially for a girls team. A coach could be 100% innocent, but tarnished for life because of publicized accusations out of his control. It's not rare either.
Only sleazy ones get in trouble. Live straight, don't play favorites, and be professional. Works for both guys and girls teams.

i suppose that means you have a rather loose definition of rare.
I actually am willing to move about anywhere if the position looks like a fit. Let me know what sites you have.
I've gone through all of the state high school athletic sites and gone through the classifieds, but a lot of schools don't have classifieds for positions available.
Thanks.
i guess those were pretty much the ones i was going to direct you to. since it's january, it's pretty early for positions for fall to be up. just keep looking on those sites every few weeks. in a couple or three months, you'll see a lot more positions.
Thanks,
anybody know of a specific high school with motivated kids?
Thanks.
