I know the day I popped out of my mother's vir-gi-nia was the best day off my life.

That's what the tread starter asked, didn't he?
To actually make this thread work we'd need to go into public records and go through birth certificates. It'd be hard to disprove people were or were not born in the state. Heck someone could claim Nelson was born in VA and moved and it'd be hard to disprove with actual evidence.

Who are the 10 best virginia-born male runners of all time? Let's say...Mile and up. I think number one is pretty clear, so really I guess this is a 9 person list. Also, I would be curious as to who the best females are as well.
Evidence to the problem with this thread - the starter assumed Webb was born here.
I know, I should just not post in this thread then...done.
That's what I was tryin to say.

pretty sure percy harvin was born in va, so i\'d have to include him.
Adam Goucher was born in VA, so i would say he should be on the list.

You are right, and so was Ryan Hall.
So add Hall and Goucher to the list.
What about Fleet Hower? Can't overlook the guy from the Mountain Empire

Goucher was born in Hollywood, FL.
Hall was born in Big Bear, CA.
I know you are pretty sharp, Al, but I think those posts were made in jest...No?
Webb
Lasiter
Landry
Watts
Sharef Karie
Lockhart
Hill
(Hari Mix maybe)
We would have to remove Lockhart from the list, unless we are speaking exclusively of High School achievements.
Again, as always happens in threads of this nature, the criteria is not very firmly established. I would assume, in the absence of explicit instructions of limit it to high school achievements, that it would involve the runner's entire career.
