Neither would I. But I'd rather see Bekele win in 12.55 with several more under 13 (in a tactical race) than watch yet another boorish 1500m WR "attempt" get strung out with a 54 first lap then watch the pace fall away.
To be quite honest, alot of the World Record races are dull (exception of El G in the mile vs Ngeny). I would rather watch an olympic final than a WR any day.
I'm not sure why people believe all the races are going to be so slow anyway. The likes of Webb will know if they want to win they will have to get things moving along to take the sting out of the fast finishers. If anyone has seen Filbert Bayi race then they will know the excitement of a non-rabited, fast 1500m
