Tell that to Meb And Fasil, who were over two minutes behind.
Having a little problem adjusting to the new reality?
It needs to be said over and over, GREAT JOB RYAN! Now continue this for the rest of the season!
im was just kidding...great run by hall
ROFLMAO! I don't think he'll be breaking any track World Records; however, I wouldn't rule out the roads. The kid is beyond amazing. I'm definitely waiting to see what he does in his planned 10000m track debut!!!!
The day that Ryan Hall breaks any world records will be the day that Vipam and Toby Tanser confirm their phony PRs.

if he's "beyond amazing" what adjectives do you use to describe kenenisa bekele? just curious
Even though the post title and screen name are parodies, this 59:43 (assuming there was nothing wrong with the course) is fast enough that a few of the softer world records (like a track 25k or 30k) should be within reach. Hall might be wasting his time in the 5,000. His real talents are probably in the 10,000, cross country and roads, a la Todd Williams. As a roadie, he could potentially be as competitive on the world scene as Bill Rodgers was.
It is my personal belief that Ryan Hall will be very competitive on the roads in the international scene. I think he will also get the 10k AR on the track, and could very well be the first American under 27 minutes.
