Can anyone tell me how many scholarships Divison II programs are allowed to give for both men and women.

For cross it's like 6.5 or something like that. Track is around 12 or so.
for ACU or the rest of us?
NCAA rules have XC and Track together if I'm thinking correctly. 12.5 total I believe per gender. Could be wrong though.
If you have track it's 12.6 per gender and zero (0) for cross country.
If you don't have track and only have xc...it's 5.0
Not many schools fund the full 12.6
Many don't fully fund football

12.6 is right, but your other numbers are wrong. I can personally tell you I am on a cross-country AND a track scholorship. Not just track. You are right about schools not funding the full amount though. Kinda sucks.
I'm not wrong. We are talking equivalencies and a track/xc program has 12.6 and 12.6 only. I don't care how you label it...if you get free aid for masturbation, xc, track, arm-pit scratching, etc. It all is counted toward the 12.6 track and field equivalency.
If you have track and field...there isn't an equivalency for xc. They can label your $ however they want. The NCAA doesn't care. However, if you have xc only (BG, Toledo, etc) you can have up to 5.0 equivalencies.
The only exceptions are grants based on financial need and academic money if you have one of the following.
1) ACT Sum of 100
2) HS GPA of 3.5
3) Top 20% of HS class
4) College GPA of 3.3 or better

If you are in Division II and you only have cross country men and women, and the ad only gives you 1.5 and 1.5 for men and women,
How can I go about getting the 5 for my university? Is there a law requiring we have 5 so I can show proof or is it pretty much up to the AD to give you what they want.
It's up to the AD to give you what you want. Most schools don't give the max. There are quite a few that don't give any in our sports.
