The defense has come up with some big plays, but the offense has failed to convert. I'm so sick of Quinn's "loft" passes. Throw a damn bullet!!

How can you say that? The announcers earlier reported that Weis said that within three years Quinn would be the third best quarterback in the NFL. He's so great! So how can it possibly be his fault that they are losing right now?
We heard that too. lol
Their receivers can't catch a damn ball, its absurd, Quinn would have like 3 interceptions this year if they could hang onto the ball
Quinn MIGHT only be the third best quarterback on those two rosters tonight. Ryan Perrilloux might be a better talent than Russell.
Then again, I didn't think Leinart was a stud in college, but he's done alright this year in the bigs.
Also I do agree he needs to stop lofting the ball and let it rip

Dude, you have got to be kidding. The defense has been playing TERRIBLY. The secondary is way too slow and is playing poorly when they aren't being outrun.
Thanks to Ty Willingham, the team is now Notre ame.

If Quinn were facing the ND defense he'd have 6 freakin touchdowns and 500 yards.
face it.
quinn's overrated.

How can he be overrated? Everyone's been saying how much better Troy Smith is than Quinn. If this is true, then Smith is far more overrated.
Quinn can't make his receivers be open. He's got absolutely nothing to work with. McKnight is dropping passes when he's wide open. Samardzija isn't getting open. Carlson is mostly blocking. Who the hell can he throw to that can catch the damn ball? No one.
good lord they just juxtaposed brady quinn's stats with jamarcus russell's.....talk about lopsided
quinn sucks
If you haven't had any good reading...go check out the CBSSPORTSLINE GLOG...those guys are brutal!!!
They were ruthless on Florida's kicker earlier in the year.

As if Weiss gives a crap about defense????

Thanks for retarded analysis.
ND's defense blows, that's why Russell's numbers are so inflated. LSU's defense is tops and ND's receivers suck, that's why Quinn's numbers blow tonight. However, I'm sure you can't understand that since you believe the QB's are out there completely alone and passes are completed magically.
Anyone know if Bama is on LSU's in-conference schedule for next season?

Who is Weiss?

Yes, LSU and Bama play every year. In 2007 the game will be played in Tuscaloosa. LSU's decline hasn't yet begun, so next year LSU might win, but in 3 years LSU will be a shell of their former selves. Les Miles is winning with Saban's players and once Jimbo Fisher and Bo Pelini leave Miles will be shown as the overrated coach that he is.
I think Quinn is awfully good, but I am not a ND fan. Does it tell anyone anything about how these teams are placed into bowls when Notre Dame loses 9 in a row? I can understand why we watch them on TV every g-d game, I guess, but why does this carry over to bowl season? That's a serious question. Do they pump that much money into the bowl venue's economy, etc.? Is this considered? And it's not fair for LSU to get all this hype by winning a meaningless bowl game and then catapult a Florida if they lose. Just seems odd and doesn't tell us much about how good LSU is.
I honestly believe LSU could have played better, defensively, tonight.
they are for sure, nov. 3 I think, but for sure LSU @ Alabama is on the sked next year
the name of this thread should read ND's receivers are giving the game away
