I was in the best shape of my life (BY FAR!) when I got injured. Since I've been off for 6 weeks, I've been pool-running, cycling, and lifting. The last time I tried to lift I strained my hamstring pretty bad so I started really slow this time. I did about 100 leg curls with no weight but my shoes for 2 weeks before trying any weight. When I did finally try weight, I had it on the lightest possible. One week later, my hamstring is screwed up again.
I know I'm not as bad off as many of you (read the post about longest time off for injuries), but I'm starting to go a little crazy. It seems like I get injured, then when I try to play it safe and do some easy cross training I get injured, then when I finally do get in good enough shape to do something worthwhile, I get injured. WTF! I guess I'm just blowing off steam.
What do you guys do at times like these? I'm extremely frustrated and am trying to keep composure, but it's kinda hard when the upcoming season will determine where I spend the next 5+ years of my life and how much money I'll have to pay to be there.
