I agree with snatch, just taking it easy running Boston will still probably feel much worse than Chicago.
You won't even notice how shot your quads are ... until the top of heartbreak when you have to start running downhill again.

Just be careful with the downhills- you want strong quads but it's easy to get knee injuries, shin splints, stress fractures, etc if you go out and start doing hard downhill runs.
I would try to run on rolling courses, making an effort to run controlled and lightly on the downhills so as not to pound to much. Supplement that with weight lifting, leg lifts, etc, to build quad strength.
make sure you do enough DOWNHILL training, on pavement....My quads were so beat up from running alot of the 1st half downhill, that they were dead when it came to those last 6 miles....
