On yesterday's interview videos it looked really windy (which would explain the late breakaways).

youre stupid. if you thought any of these guys were gonna break the course record of 1436, youre a moron. and youre the equivalent of two morons for not taking into account race strategy and weather. know something before you run your mouth
Course reports said the surface has become very soft, including a new addition of crushed gravel on a hill that would slow down things even more. Otherwise ideal temps and good comp would seem to back that up. Anyone who has run XC, knows that a soft course will slow things down even quicker than big hills. Now if the course has changed in that respect over the years, I have no idea but it seems with the track times that these runners are putting up they would be a lot faster.
Benjamin Johnson is a freakin animal!! he is the first junior across the line. next year he is going to destroy everyone!

Evan Jager is going to the Chargers game tomorrow with his dad. Cool!
you'd think the whole field could handle going through 2miles in 9:50s or whatever it was.

hahaha so true. guess what? in 199x, sharief kari (sp?) finished second as a junior and lost the following year again. ill even say it right now: ben johnson WILL NOT win the fln title next year. im just hoping new mexico fan boys aren't as annoying the illnois crew.

I know! He's so overhyped! It's like, Jesus Christ, what has Jager done in the past that could've led anybody to the foolish conclusion that he might contend for the win at Footlocker his senior year? I know you're with me, Mr. Kot-ter.
