Yup. Albubu doesn't have that kind of humidity.

It's better to go by the dew point.
Albuquerque has been in the mid 70's for DP this summer.
Dew point = absolute humidity.
To Malmo,
Albuquerque have humidity nowdays, it rains everyday over here for the first-time in history.No-more dry-air in this state.New Mexico state is green growing grass now.
It changed this summer for good gave me the Austrian rainny season.I needed for my breathing training lungs. No more hard asthmatic coughing dry air.It has been moisturis makes me sweat alot.
Albuquerque has changed, it adds good running.

Yeah, I don't get why it's so hard for people to understand this and actually use dew point. It's so much easier and makes so much more sense. I'm guessing 95 with 41% humidity is a mid to upper 70s degree dew point, which is terrible to run in.

Yes, it is difficult for people to understand because of that missed science class thing.
Dew Point/Relative humidity/saturation water vapor density/actual water vaper density are all inter-related. Dew point is directly related to RH. It is the temperature at saturation vaper density. Your RH is simply the actual VD divided by saturation VD.
The dew point in Charlotte last week was in the upper 60s-low 70s. A steam bath.
The dew point in Albubu during the same period was in the low 60s. A sauna.

Edit: Remove "a sauna."
A dew point of 60 is absolutely lovely.
Henry, because you live in bone-dry Albuquerque you're not used to it. Remember how it was when you lived in New Jersey?

LOL! That bartender would be "The Dina" who posts here from time to time. He is now the groundskeeper of Hayward Field. If just one blade of grass is out of line then blame "The Dina." He lives at the top of the hill on Fox Hollow Rd now. (The five mile mark of the "Megamagneto Loop")
http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=8881Henry, when you lived in Eugene, which hill was "any heeell?"
My "any heeell" was 39th Ave at Willamette. The perfect slope.
As far as urban training goes, the most perfect "any heeell" in New York City is East 91st street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. That block is closed off to traffic. Perfect slope.
Henry, here is the story that The Dina (Steve) tells about his bartending days at Guido's, and the day that you revealed the secret of running to him.
The Dina started a converstion with Henry about Salazar and training, and he kept the beers flowing freely, figuring it was truth serum, so that he could extract the secrets of running from Henry. Finally, Henry opened up, and the conversation went something like this:
"Tooooz-day... Sal-luh-zahhh.... trrraack," Rono said, shaking his head "no."
"Tourrrz-day.... Sal-luh-zahhh.... trrraack," again shaking his head no.
"Sat-tuhh-day.... Sal-luh-zahhh.... trrraack," emphatically shaking his head no.
Dina listened intently.
"Dee Heeeeel!" Shouted Rono, with his arm extended straight and pointing uphill.
Then, the Dina leaned forward to the bar to finally coax out "the secret" from the legend.
"Henry, what hill?" he asked, earnestly.
"Steve," waving his arms maniacally, Rono shouted, "ANY HEEEEEEEL!"

I hope the above conversation is in your book!
He wasn't the groundskeeper in "Caddyshack" was he?
malmo: who is the Dina? was he a national class runner?

If you go to DW Field Park in Brockton, Ma. you might see Dina's ghost running with Lloyd's ghost.
Henry. When runing a 2-Hour run, what produces the best results? A slow steady pace, a progressive pace, or a steady moderate pace with the last 2-3 minutes done at a fast effort?

The Dina is Carl Spackler.
never heard of him.

No doubt.
Henry, you going to do La Luz this week? I'll be heading up there one of these mornings. Can't wait to run it- I haven't done that one in a few years. I'm sure i'll see you out there one of these days. Keep up the good work.
To coyote jr.
I was thinking of going there today, but I\'m mentally tired,I slep alot yesterday. My coach told me my body is in revolution for change for better results.
I spent most the day in the restroom and bed after 121 minutes in the copper hill.I was thinking either the big hill La Luz or copper hill,I\'m still process it in my mind at this point.I will let you know later what I come up with.
Henry
Good morning Henry,
Hope you had a good run this morning (#62 or #63?). It would be neat to see you summarize your weeks on the Masters Training thread. It seems like you are still doing roughly a 2hr "Hieeell" run daily. Any thought on breaking that up occaisionally into two seperate workouts? Even when I am in my best form, one or two longer runs of 90 to 120 minutes in a week seem to be my limit, especially if there is any turnover planned in the week. Then again you are Mr Rono.
Good luck with the weight. Once that is gone you will feel that "floating free" feeling that comes every now and then on a workout/race!
