A professional athlete that doesn't know exactly where the finish line is likely needs to lose his license/contract.
I'll assume he did and couldn't get there fast enough.
After the 25 World Champs, every race 800 and above having an accumulated time difference between winning and losing less that the men's 100m dash by itself, Im surprised you have to even ask that question or have a higher standard for Lewis Johnson than yourself.
Why did Mutiso throw his hands up and move so close to Kipruto? If he put his head down, ran straight, and dove for the line he would have won.
Well diving on pavement is a painful move. Mutiso actually waited until after he hit the mat to throw up his hands. Kipruto was the one who celebrated early and nearly cost himself to me. Mutiso was a little tentative on which side to pass actually. Kipruto to his credit kept on the same line, but it was a tricky one for Mutiso because it’s not a straight-line finish.
You would think so, but no, that's not the case. I've seen a video of wejo going to the well and digging in deep to win a 10k. It was impressive. If someone has a link to that video please post it.

This is about as dumb as dumb can be. I can guarantee that no professional athlete knows exactly where the finishline is going to be.
You can't guarantee. Sounds pretty dumb to me for a professional athlete to misjudge the location of a higher paycheck. I dont have to be a pro athlete to know that. What's your excuse?

Yes I can guarantee it. No runner scouts out the finishline. Theres a huge banner and painted lines that tells them where it is.
I feel like most people who have pushed to the edge in races know that you're not thinking clearly when you're going full gas, uphill, at mile 26 of the NYC Marathon. They both gave it everything & were spent. Kipruto made a big move & thought he was free & started to slow right at the finish. Mutiso chased & found a little extra & took advantage of Kipruto slowing down/starting to celebrate. I don't think either of them had more cards to play. Kipruto should just be running through the line there.
