i hate to burst your supercilious bubble, but posting 1 article that concludes that synthetic hormone may increase epo hardly constitutes scholarly research in the subject like you so proudly proclaim. as has been repeatedly stated on here by numerous posters, whatever marginal benefits synthroid may produce regarding epo are COMPLETELY outweighed by the deleterious other side effects of being HYPERthyroid. your article does little to prove your point and i would flunk you if that's the "the best" you've got in advancing your argument.
"Every single one of those guys are claiming that it's genetic...this is not new, this is predictable,..get up to speed here."
false. it is new to some of the conspiracy theorists on here as they seem to think that their hypo condition IS NOT genetic.
"Honestly, there could be a chance that this is nothing...and that I'm just blowing smoke. Maybe they all do have a genetic predisposition to hypothroidism. Whatever."
a chance? so basically your 1 article proves beyond a reasonable doubt that these guys are using synthroid as a ped? btw, your use of "whatever" elegantly heightens the intellectual fervor of your riposte.
"Also, it's not really that much of a conspiracy theory nor am i that paranoid about it (except for the fact that this could potentially lead others to start experimenting with thyroid medication and get seriously f-ed)."
how are you not a conspiracy theorist when you are jumping up and down that you have connected the dots between salazar, nike, tents and synthroid? what is your definition of a conspiracy? evidently not the same one that mainstream english speaking people use.
"It's not illegal, nor did i ever say it was. I'm not upset, i'm not angry, and I'm certainly not gonna take some poster named "bitch tits" seriously"
on the contrary, it IS illegal to be taking synthroid if one is not hypo. there are legal medicinal purposes for drugs and taking them for performance enhancement isn't one of them. ever wonder why the weightlifter/cyclist/football player who gets nailed with syringes and a drug that is perfectly legal in certain medical situations gets arrested? maybe your stanford site has research in that area. stanford is a bitch!
"I certainly do find it very interesting and unlike you, will not take this issue at face value. Personally, I think we owe it to the sport to dig a little deeper. And next time don't throw all your eggs in some shitty worthless article. Honestly. Seriously. Show me something that doesn't make you look even more ignorant."
that's nice that you feel "we owe it to the sport to dig a little deeper." why don't you start with the people themselves? apparently all secondary and tertiary sources are worthless, so why not contact kennedy and ask him if hypothyroidism runs in his family. you probably won't believe him when he says it does but at least you will have a primary source -- rather than a reporter quoting him. better yet, why not track down those poor relatives of his and ask them yourself if they are hypo? you probably won't believe them either when they tell you that they are but at least you will have another primary source. you also might want to talk to some people who are HYPER and ask them what it is like. see what they say regarding performance when their resting hrs are 100. actually, since you are so into rigourous scholarly research, why not, for the betterment of the sport, undertake a "supersize me" project on the matter? get on synthroid, make yourself hyper and then report back to all of us how you went from being a 17-minute 5k guy to a world beater. i very much look forward to reading your published results and do expect a proper annotated bibliography.
