How can you refute the clear evidence already cited which states that EPO is stimulated by the proper administration of thyroid stimulating drugs!
Wow, this just absolutely proves that a tiny bit of knowledge is a very bad thing indeed, in fact, worse than no knowledge at all. Wow, so you found out that Thyroid Hormone causes the body to increase its natural EPO production and think you stumbled on some big secret that proves thyroid hormone could be a PED. Bravo, you are a totally idiot. Firstly, doesn't your big discovery make you realize that, SINCE EPO production is partly effected by Throid hormone, that therefore GETTING ONE'S THYROID HORMONE LEVELS INTO THE NORMAL RANGE WOULD BE CONSIDERED PRUDENT FOR A RUNNNER OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER??? DUH!!! Of course they would want Rupp's thyroid levels normal.
But of course I know what you will say next: 'but, who's to say that a little extra thyroid hormone won't cause a little extra EPO production, and therefore it could be an advantage?' Well..............And I would reply:
What part of the below don't you understand???
"T3 and T4 are released into the blood stream and are transported throughout the body where they control metabolism (conversion of oxygen and calories to energy). Every cell in the body depends upon thyroid hormones for regulation of their metabolism."
Read that again. EVERY CELL IN THE BODY. So...........what does that tell you sherlock??? That Thyroid Hormone does a LOT more than get the body to produce EPO. Therefore, just because one could theoretically say that increased thyroid hormone might be advantageous in the isolated consideration of increased EPO production, WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER BILLION CELLS/FUNCTIONS OF THE BODY SMART GUY?????
Since you are so good at web research, I am sure stumbled onto these facts of increased levels of thyroid hormone:
" Patients with hyperthyroidism usually experience fatigue at the end of the day, but have trouble sleeping. Trembling of the hands and a hard or irregular heartbeat (called palpitations) may develop. These individuals may become irritable and easily upset. When hyperthyroidism is severe, patients can suffer shortness of breath, chest pain, and muscle weakness.
Typical Symptoms/signs:
Fast heart rate
Trembling hands
Weight loss
Muscle weakness
Warm moist skin
Hair loss
Staring gaze "
"FAST HEART RATE .... MUSCLE WEAKNESS....FATIGUE......TROUBLE SLEEPING.....IRREGULAR HEART RATE..." Yeah, this is totally what a distance runner would want. It CERTAINLY would be worth a slight increase in EPO production.........sure it would.
My resting heart rate went from 50's to 100 because of my increased levels of thyroid hormone. Oh yes, I was so lucky indeed to have those increased levels.
You sir, are a total idiot and a troll and a hater. You've been stomped, now get the hell out of here.
