What's the heaviest a person has weighed, recording a sub-3 marathon? Anyone have any idea? Is it recorded anywhere?

I knew a guy in England who was about 6 feet tall, and weighed around 190 pounds.....his nickname was "the ox" and he was built like an ox. But this dude could run.
He ran a 2:35 Marathon on very low mileage (about 35 miles a week), and also ran 52 minutes for 10 miles (Wimbledon '10' mile road race, October 1978), and he could run 1:59 for the 800, and around 3:59 for 1500. The guy was heavily built but could run really well over all distances.
I am 213 Pounds and am training for a sub 3 hour marathon in October and training is on target. I expect to lose around 15 Pounds more before I actually run it - I have lost 15 already.
All us big guys are training to run sub 3.
The difference between training for it and running it is chalk and cheese.
I predict 4hrs 15 unless you lose 40lbs.
I think I will run sub 3 hour - My first target was a sub 40 minute 10km which I ran last week (only just sub 40).
Also I know what benchmarks I need to hit - was a decent runner when i was younger so under no illusions about what it will take.
There's a guy in Knoxville who was over 200. I'm pretty certain he broke 3 when he was that heavy, but I know for certain he ran 2:04 over a tough 30k course when he was 210 lb.
Self proclaimer Clydesdale Record goes to Tom Fleming Boston 1983 with a 2:14 at 179 pounds.
bob donker?
I slogged through a 2:58 at just above 180. I am now 195 and I don't think I could hit that with a rock at this point. It's pretty simple: gain weight=slow down. I think I am at a critical point with my running now. I am about to turn 30, but I can still remember running decently well in college and I constantly compare myself to the old me. I could be that fit again now, but with life in the way it's tough (that's an excuse that I hate when people use!)
Anyone else constantly think of the "old you?"
I ran 2:52 @ 182 lbs, I am more of a 3k-10k guy though
I've run 2:50 at 180 lbs. Now at 185lbs and can go sub-3:00 still. Sucks lining up against the 140 pounders. But then again they are short and can't see past me at rock concerts or reach anything on the top shelf.
What did Mike Scott run?
i weigh between 178-182 on any given day and currently am capable of running about a 1:50 800 meter, a 3:50 1500 meter and a 14:40 5k. a marathon might be a bit of a stretch, but i am positive i would be under 3 hours.
I'm not sure about marathon, but right now I'm right around 15 flat and 25 flat. I'm considering gaining a load of weight real fast to see what I can crank out with a huge beer gut.
Dick pushed his son in a wheelchair one year to a 242 or 244 marathon. anyway, the duo have broken 3 a bunch of times. their weight combined is definitly over 200 pounds perhaps upwards of 300.
i just looked it up... 2:40 in the marathon one year at boston
I am a 5'6" 135 lb female and I've run 2:56 at this weight...
Mark Schrumpf was over 200 lbs when he ran 2:50 at Boston in the heat in 2005.

Craig Petersen ran 2:59 at CIM last year. He's at least 210 lbs.
Not to take anything away from him, but often Dick Hoyt appears in the results as if he started with the runners, when he really had a 15 minute head start. So that 2:40 was really 2:55. I think that is the year I passed him on the final turn. My reaction was something like 'Holy sh!t, how can he push his kid in that wheelchair and still go that fast.' I was truly amazed. The guy is pretty big.
