Palestinian nationalism did not start once Israel was founded. While Palestine was governed by the Ottoman Empire and then the British Empire their enemies were the Turks and the British. Now their land is governed by Israel their enemy is the Israelis.
What difference does it make if Palestinians are identical or similar to other Arabs? Why does that mean it was right for them to be moved out of the way so Israel could be founded?

The allies kicked out the Holocaust Survivors from Europe in 1945. US military assumed the small areas in the Middle East after the military defeat of the British Empire.
At the time people thought the Holocaust Survivors were Semitic, Middle Eastern peoples.
Since then scientists have shown Ashkenazi Jews are roughly as Semitic and Hitler, Queen Elizabeth, Churchill, Stalin, and Mussolini.I.E. nearly all Europeans have around the same minute percentage of Persian, Semitic, Caucasoid genes from the Middle East.
The reason is 25,000 years ago the Ice Age ended and migrations began to Europe from the Tigris and Euphrates region.
Now that we know this, Europe and Soain has even less justification for it's 10,000 year long Anti-Semitism against Ashkenazis (European) Jews and Sephardic (Moorcan/Spanish) Jews.
It's more reason for Europe and Spain should accept the return of their exiles Jews from post-WWII.

I don't care there has never been an independent Palestinian state, the people who lived there were moved out of their homes so that Israel could be founded.
I also don't care if they're identical to other Arabs, why does that make the fact they were forcibly removed more palatable?

Pure propaganda. This is a "war" just like Shaq kicking the sh*t out of an angry chihuahua is a "fair fight." 85 percent of Palestinians have been forcibly displaced from their homes. Israel has created millions of starving refugees. At least 40,000 Palestinians have been killed and the true number is far higher because they lost ability to keep count months ago. The only relevant questions here are:
1. Do you support Israel's ongoing ethnic cleansing campaign against Palestinians?
2. If yes, how many dead Palestinian kids will it take before you change your mind?
