In honor of the comrades of Columbia and other schools who are protesting the current occupation of Palestine, what did you protest while in school? I protested the Iraq war and George Bush’s barbarism.

and what did that do? the war continued along, even into the obama presidency (I served in Iraq under the obama adminstration in 2015
how does it feel knowing it was a complete waste of your time. if you are not willing to resort to violence and killing, your protests DO NOTHING. it was simply ignored by the president.
would have been better for you to focus on your studies then (serious)
What did your time in Iraq do?
Nothing. I was too busy working 48-hour weeks while taking 18 credit hours so I can graduate with no debt and not whine about the debt I agreed to pay for decades to come.
You?
I protested our school not using communion patens at Mass. Well, maybe "protest" is a little too strong of a word, but we got students to sign a petition and some people stopped attending campus Mass because of it. Not sure if it made a difference, but it sure didn't make national news.
You? Paid most of mine off. Hopefully the rest will be forgiven.
I joined in on a counter protest to a group mad about a law banning trans from women's sports. A ton of track athletes, men and women, were in the counter protest group.
Lap counters effed up the 5k which cost our team points. We protested and got our points.
Hopefully the transphobes were shut up
The best woman for a job is a man.
Every college athlete that took a side there took the side of being against trans in women's sports. Even at a school with a fairly large crowd of people on the other side of the issue
I was a D1 athlete until junior year and when i decided to quit. I certainly didn’t have a probably with gay and trans people. I also know not all current athletes think like you. Some do but a lot don’t. So don’t say every one like you can vouch for everyone.
Nothing. Too busy studying and running.
The end of Saturday classes.
Nothing, too busy with school, work, running and working out (just casually and not on a team, but still took time) and occasionally being the dumb college kid that drank too much on a Thursday night
Not a thing. Protesters are generally Losers
I didn't say I spoke for all college athletes. I just said that every one of them at this particular school all took the same side that day. Maybe someone was too scared to stand against his/her teammates, but even if that's the case it still means being against trans in women's sports was the dominant position of that track and field team at that time. I was never a college athlete, but I was on the same side as them that day.
Lol loser
Back in my day, we had to fight, for the right, to party.
Kind of true. No one "normal" protests anything in college.
