I’m over 40 and need to be cautious of ramping up volume too much these days. I run hard intervals a couple times a week and a long tempo on the weekends, but the rest of my volume needs to be very easy zone 2 (mid/high 7 pace) and inflict minimal stress on my bones and muscles.
looking for recommendations for a max cushion shoe that is plush but doesnt feel like a brick. the shoes I use for intervals and faster tempos are too responsive for these runs.
Hated the Nike invincible. Felt way too structured and the upper didn’t hold my heel in. The cushion was pretty good though.
the NB freshfoam more just felt like a lot of sole and heft but very dead and not a lot of cushion.
A lot of hokas that I’ve tried were too narrow in the toe box but I’m willing to try if there are some with wider fits.
suggestions?
