If there is a tailwind, why not run slightly back and run the tangent instead of in the middle of the road like Emma is doing?

1:44 gap between Lemma and John Korir + Chebet
Did they pay to get on ? That's was crazy to randomly interview the Runner's World guy at mile 23 of Boston. Do they want to have me zoom into the broadcast?
Bates is back.
We have some good commentary on Eurosports. Maybe she sensed the surge and held back a bit then recovered.
Women slowed again. Guess that move was a feint.
Next one will be massive, though.
Agree, but maybe she senses a surge
Lemma lead:
5K - 0:00
10K - 0:25
15K - 1:21
20K - 1:39
HM - 1:49
25K - 2:21
30K - 2:49
20M - 2:49
21M - 2:29
35K - 2:14
23M - 1:44
Will we call chebet the best marathoner and fav for paris now?

The blowup has happened. Can he hold on for 5k?
1:25 is now the differential between 23 and 24

Mile 22 for Lemma was 5:02. If he maintains that, he's safe.
Ok Mile 23 is 5:07. If he can maintain that, they won't catch him.
His lead's fading really fast. Still a chance for total collapse.
Race is over. If the chasers were going to catch him they’d look like they were in full flight right now.
Emma Beee!!! WTF? Spreading them out!
EMMA MF-ING BATES
the women's pack size approaching 20 miles is unacceptably huge
there are not going to be a dozen women finishing under 2:25, no way
race directors need to make incentives for that not to happen at 20 miles
Go Emma!!!
CJ blows by Kitata. Top 10. Set sights on Moen.
Lemma just lost 30 seconds between 35k (21.7) and 23 miles and lead by 1:44.
So that is equivalent to losing 23 seconds a mile. He was losing 20 seconds a mile.
He needs to lose 32 seconds a mile the final 3.2 to lose the race.
