That #5 is gonna kill them...NAU put 5 under 15:40 and they still couldn't win this fall.
The Oregon women are definitely doing better than the men but the game has changed.
Speaking of NAU, Karrie Baloga has flown under the radar but quietly put up PRs at the mile, 3k, 5k, and 3k steeple so far...nothing she couldn't have done in high school really (4:36, 9:09, 15:56, 10:02) but nonetheless a very decent freshman year for the Foot Locker champ. She's doubled up at basically every single meet which is interesting, I imagine Mike Smith just wants to get her some college racing experience right now. I would bet some decent money she's a factor next year for the team race at NCAAs, and possibly individually in track.

Agree, if all are healthy, behind Stearns and Churchill they will have both Moores, Baloga, Smee, Stutzman, Congdon, Upshaw. And now maybe Carlson. 7-8 deep for 3-4-5. Will all or most be healthy?
Great video and nice post-race breakdown from Coach Stenuf. Seems Olemomoi had sub-15 in mind, but instead of getting greedy clocking 70s, Stenuf guided her along a smooth line just shy of the danger zone, stringing together 72-73s before a strong negative last k. Funny hearing Hilda say "I don't have kick." I'm not so sure. She accelerates well after opening her stride; maybe her kick just needs proper development.

that was cool, thanks for sharing!! Yeah Stenuf said she can close in 31s? Not sure if that is at the end of a 5k? That is pretty speedy.
Olemomoi said in a post race interview she is hoping to target 14:50 (soon).. We may see quite a race at NCAAs if Valby runs the 5k too. I bet Roe would stick with them as well.

Smith is normally overly cautious with his freshmen so Karrie must have arrived in excellent shape to be in so many events. the fact that she's been posting PR's shows whatever she's doing is working.
another freshman who's been running a lot is Zack Munson. he didn't get the fanfare of the Young twins, Birnbauhm, etc...but he's quietly having a solid first season. lots of PR's.
