I am surprised that they don't play better with Cardozo, a national team player from Brazil.
Cardoso classic old school big. She is amazing at rebounding, put backs and layups in the post, but doesn't have much of even a short jump shot.
They seem to get bored feeding her in the post, and she can be kept under control as a scorer with double team. Will be interesting what Iowa does with her, she was the back up to Boston last year.
This..
saw Cardosa now multiple times
what i see is a huge player who has good hands and can make layups
You are right, she does not have a sophisticated offensive game at all
How can you be a hater of someone and not even know how to spell their (very basic) name?? Cmon bro. Her name is in print all over the place. Be smarter.
I'd have to say LOSERS cheer for someone to lose instead of the other team to win.
It was a moving pick. Classic reffing 101 test question and they got it right.
Staley's trans comment is just another example of being afraid to say truth in fear of backlash from the Pagans that run the university. Or thats what she believes, like it ir not. Just coach, win games and dont rock the boat or bite the hand that feeds you. Im sure if they would let her, she'd have a whole team of trans trying to remain undefeated. Doesn't need it yet but why burn bridges?
Iowa isnt supposed to win. If they somehow do, I can assure you that the creeps will continue to say the ncaa rigged the whole thing, paid off the refs or just blame them and any other ridiculous excuse they can come up with to be hateful, miserable creepy people. There's definitely a market for that kind of behavior and much of the nonimpact media cant pass up the $$$ to not write about such nonsense.
Im hoping its a close game to the end. The SC/NC St blowout was a dud and the attending crowd was pretty quiet.

As soon as the whistle was blown I posted "bad call" wondering why the ref would call it in that situation. But it was the right call, often not called but correct.
I watched the last 5 minutes of Iowa's last game and it was painful. The women are just not good if you've spent even 5 minutes watching the men. They game is way slower, they're not athletic. Its like watching a good team of middle school aged boys.
I keep wondering if people really enjoy watching this or if it is now a cultural thing in progressive America to pretend you really like watching women's sports.
Caitlin Clark isn’t mouthy talking crap in press conferences, she isn’t getting in fights on the court or verbally on social media, she’s not a crap student barely passing and inarticulate. There’s not really a reason to hate her other than out of jealousy. Occasionally she gets too showboaty for my liking, but sounds like her dad gets in her ear to keep her grounded if she starts getting too arrogant. We need more people like her doing well and not the disrespectful people getting in fights.

I hate to break it to you, but that’s how most people who are not pro/D1 men (or D1 bound high schoolers) look when they play. D1 male basketball players’ size, speed, and athleticism is so far above the average person that it is almost like a different sport.
Although the athleticism and highlights are not there, the drama of competition is very much there — more so than an NBA regular season game, and some of the players are fun the watch. That little freshman guard on South Carolina who came off the bench could run twice as fast as anyone else on the court and was pretty fun to watch.

That's Fulwiley, she actually may be the best freshman, but didn't get starters minutes like JuJu or Hidalgo. She was MVP of the sec tourney off the bench.
Game a bit of a letdown. The Iowa defensive plan actually worked fine, but they just shot a poor percentage in second half. Still they managed to cut lead to 5, but again just could not buy a basket after that. Congrats to South Carolina!
The anti-Caitlyn Clark types have already lost. This thread is loaded with technical analysis of women's basketball.
Technical analysis is not a national championship. The people who don't care for Clark's antics have been proven right. If it somehow makes you feel better that a lot of people can tell you WHY Clark/Iowa lost, then you're lowering your own basket. So, enjoy your low-basket moral victory.
