Assuming Alicia Monson (30:03) and Weini Kelati (30:33) are the favourites, being the only ones with the standard, who gets the third spot?
Elly Henes:
- 30:48 in 2023, 31:07 at the TEN
- should be fine on world rankings
- should be in better fitness by June coming off lung surgery
Karissa Schweizer:
- 31:05 at the TEN,
- has the highest celling with her 30:19
- would probably need another 10k to even get the standard or get in the world ranking quota or a fast race at the Trials
Natasha Rodgers:
- made the last 2 teams, just coming off marathon debut at the trials
- should be fine on rankings
Keira D'Amato:
- 6 weeks after marathon trials she runs 31:05
- i believe she said she'd run another 10k not sure if she meant on the track, but if she does then she'd probably be able to get in the rankings quota
Rachel Smith:
- 31:04 at the TEN, needs another 10k or fast Trials race to get in ranking quota
- would she even run w/o ranking?
Kate Izzo:
- in the Cross Country rankings quota but I have a hard time seeing someone with (15:12/32:22) PBs finishing in the top 3 at USAs
Elise Cranny:
- 2023 US Champ, guessing she won't run the 10k though
Rodgers is probably the most likely imo, but it'd be cool to see D'Amato make it after missing the marathon team.
