Qualified for Boston in May. It was my first marathon. I ran a 2:53:30 and will be in Boston in a few weeks. One problem was that I had personal issues and couldn't train as much as I'd liked. Averaged maybe 20-25 a week from July to March. However, I want to at least break 2:55 at Boston.
So I did 55 miles last week, with a 20 miler at 6:45 with only a brief break for a code brown.
I'm planning 60 this week and then going into the following with around 45.
Stupid plan? Or should I focus on enjoying Boston and just jog it and run a PR marathon elsewhere at a different time?
