Finally some clarity on Sadie Engelhardt's upcoming meet schedule.
She said that she is running Arcadia. Exact event(s) still to be determined, but she said possibly one individual event and possibly a 4x800 with her Ventura High School teammates.
She will then be taking a break from competing for a few weeks. (So she is apparently skipping the Mt SAC Relays.)
Then in May she will run all the CIF meets, up to and including the state championships.
She said that she also wants to run some pro meets this spring.
Some pro meets in the Los Angeles area are a Sound Running meet on May 2 and 3, and another Sound Running meet on July 20. There is also the LA Grand Prix on May 18. (Some of those dates might conflict with her CIF meets.)
Of course, she is not limited to pro meets in just the Los Angeles area.
She didn't say anything about the end of season national high school championships meets. But since she is sponsored by New Balance it seems likely that she will at least run in the New Balance meet in June.
Sadie said she is also trying to qualify for the Olympic Trials in the 1500. And since the 1500 isn't run that often in California high school meets, she might have to run a 1500 in a pro meet in order to try to get a qualifying time for the Trials.
So there you have it. Sadie Engelhardt is doing both high school CIF meets and pro meets this spring.
