I think it's easy to comment on an elite runner's tactics on a screen and be critical, but from what I see he's probably used his genetic gifts as effectively as he could've.
The 1st 400 was on pace, but at 800 he was approximately 3 seconds behind pace, and ran 2:20 for 1k.
How do you think he will go at the Aussie champs in a few weeks time, let alone at the olympics?
2:16 was always way beyond Stewie's capacity particularly in March. I'm pretty sure he won't be winning the 1500m at nats as Myers and Hunt are in form. Shame that Edwards isn't 100% but hopefully he will be in the next 3 weeks. Will Spencer be travelling back?
