So, I've been trying to sort this out, is there a way to stream the World Cross Country Championships 2024 in Belgrade in the USA?
Supposedly the USA broadcast partner this time is CNBC. I thought that might mean Peacock had it, but it seems no dice. (Or, at least, they haven't identified it yet on their platform as an upcoming event.)
Then I looked into whether Peacock even had CNBC content, and it turns out they don't except for like one show? And there is a SEPARATE CNBC subscription?
Anyone know where to watch this in the US? Is CNBCon cable the only way to go? (May have to spin up a month of YouTubeTV, if so . . . sigh.) Or will Peacock carry it?
I suppose a VPN running from another country that gets the free World Athletics broadcast might work, but that's just a pain to set up.
Also, it does seem amazing to me how under-the-radar World XC has been as compared to (1) last year's World XC race and (2) this year's World Indoors. I get it—Olympic year, and lots of folks not running. Still, my first running love was always cross country and road races. Track was just . . . well, you do enough 5Ks as a runner in 5th grade on the track and the thought of spinning around in circles over and over and over again wears you down, lol.
Looking for good coverage options to cheer Team USA on (likely futile, but still a fan!). Any insight, tips, or info is appreciated!
