The Ten should have been the US 10k trials.
Three Americans ran the Olympic standard at The Ten, and one ran 27:09. Where do you suggest they would have achieved these marks if The Ten had served as the Olympic Trials? There is no way they could allow pacers and wavelights in the Olympic Trials. Also, about 28 other fast foreign runners would not have been in the field. Use your head.

Last year we had 14th All Time Female Performance & Top 10 American AT for Men.
This time around there is more incentive + more people will come to this as it's really a last chance shot for a number of people to race in a 10000 of any decent standard (Klecker etc).
While any other year you'd be right, I think because of where it's positioned pre-OLY, this year may be different
