I am glad to see Chmiel is back and apparently well after the lower leg injury and missing all of indoors. Rauber also listed to run after missing XC and Indoors.

It’d be nice to see Chmiel do something amazing before she leaves the NCAA. However, I do not see her going pro in any scenario.
I would not be surprised to see her just continue to train under Henes like Steelman, Hays and Tuohy, and continue with XC and the roads. She is very talented at XC.
Nevada Moreno is also listed in the entries for the 1500m. I know she had a pretty significant injury following the 2022 NCAA cross country championship. I did not realize that she still had eligibility left.

I think collegiately, she’s always been a team player, but I’ve never seen her as an individual goal-setter for herself, with any desire to set records, etc.
I just don’t see her going pro. I think she’ll go straight into taking care of animals as her education-goal has always been.

Where do you guys get this stuff? She is just as competitive as any other runner, in hs she ran on US team in Scotland, where she finished ahead of Lane.
She's quiet, no social media at all and was willing with open arms to have Touhy as a teammate to max out team goals and be pushed in practice.
Other than that she likes prs and winning just like anyone else.
She's fast enough to run pro, if Steelman, Hays and Shaw are. Good chance she runs pro for a year or two and then goes to vet school. She could also go the Marty Hehir route, and just keep running thru vet school with occasional road races; maybe try half and marathon.

Well, I don’t think you should say “you guys”, as it was ME that posted that.
Collegiately, I’ve just always seen her as a true team player, with enormous potential. But, when it’s come to individual events, just non-exciting.

I think she’ll pursue her vet career. That’s all.
She's a 7x all american on the track. I'd love to know what qualifies as "exciting" for you.

I like Chmiel. Always respected what she’s done for NC State. (And remembering the days when SHE dominated NY high school women’s Cross Country, etc).
However, her massive accomplishments in the NCAA have always been how well she contributed to NC States’ X-Country National Championships. She was AWESOME!
Put her on the track? Nothing that ever made ME (I specify myself), think that she had any particular individual goals.

Kelsey will be going to Vet school full time. No professional career for her.
It might be a little bit yet. Still recovering from hamstring injury. I have a registered name already, but I don't see a way to change it.
That is too bad! Especially because it is an Olympic year. Hamstring injuries can be tricky though. Hopefully she can get to peak shape by trials, but that might be asking alot if she has missed months of training by this point.
Among other things I am interested in how A Napolean does in 3000s. HS record in 2000s but admittedly progress needed for the additional 1K. But I recall her form over the barriers was as good as anyone in NCAA.

She ran a 10:15 at USATF U-20's last summer. IIRC she went out both by herself and very hard and every lap was slightly slower than the one before it. Very tough to know where to set expectations with only that one result at the 3k distance to go off of. By my count there are 4 sub-10 women in the field so maybe they can pull her to a good time.

Good call. That’d be awesome if she runs sub-10:00.
