Hey LR. My track season has just kicked off and in the past week I've done the 800, 1600, and 3200, and done much worse than I should have done based off the workout's I've been doing. Here's what I've done:
4x400 (4 min rest) - 62 avg in mid-February
10x400 (200 jog rest) - 69 avg in mid-February
7x1k (3 min rest) - 3:10 avg on Feb 28th
These workouts should indicate at the very least 2:06, 4:40, and 10:00 for the 8, 16, and 32 respectively. However, to start my season, I have run 2:12 (off a double with the 1600), 4:49, and 10:20. Before the season I was hoping to go to state for a couple events, now it is a question if I will even be contending for state qualification - what gives?
