I'd have to say no. Given the different athlete profiles, volume in training will differ for many of the pro's. There are certainly a few who could, such as Josh Kerr who ran a 61 half, it just depends on how well they can race within a high percentage of their aerobic capacity, and while many are aerobic monsters, some are more fine tuned to the 800-1500 range.
Look at Hobbs Kessler's training, I doubt it would be sufficient with a 7 mile per run max. Obviously he has the talent to go sub 2:18, but I think he'd need to tweak his training just a bit.
On any given day? No. If they trained for it, then probably all of them. The Marathon is brutal, if you do not put the time on your feet and do the long runs you won't be able to run what you are physically capable of. You can do this on any level tbh. Example, almost all sub 15 5k guys could probably go sub 2:30 if they trained for it. But they have to put the time on their feet. I've been humbled by the marathon before, and it really gave me a respect for the distance.
Yeah, probably most of them. The modern 1500 guys are so aerobically strong, give them 3 months of dedicated marathon training, and most would fly under 2:18. Kessler might be the exception as he doesn't react well to long runs. Otherwise, Hocker, Teare, Nuguse, no problem at all

i'm 100% positive josh kerr couldn't qualify for the US marathon trials

Hocker would be injured for the season if he ran that far.

Agreed. As I've counseled beginners, a full marathon is way more than twice as hard as a half marathon.
A full marathon? Why not just a marathon? Please don't counsel anyone.
On any given weekend could they do this, or would it require 3+ months of prep?
So probably about half of them could do it “on any given day.” Probably another 40% could do it with 3 months preparation. The other roughly 10% I am not sure about. Probably with prep but not a given.
