Hi all
Anyone has an idea how or where to get the Hoka Speedgoat 4 in size US12,5 / EU471/3?
The Shoe is out of production and Speedgoat 5 is already available, but i'd love the 4s and prefer them...
Thanks
Andreas

I'll also say, the Stinson 7 is the closest Hoka has come to replicating the SG4, in my opinion.
why do you guys prefer the 4 over the 5?
The upper, the shoelaces, and the fit. I ripped multiple holes in multiple 5 uppers as well as the upper disconnecting from the base sometimes. The shoelaces are thin wet noodles compared to the beefiness of the 4s. And honestly the 5 is too narrow for my foot. I'm right between a normal and a wide and I just find I have a little more comfort in the 4. It's why I cited the Stinson as that has the same roomy feel where the speedgoat 5 feels way too tight on my foot.
ok thx. I am on my second pair of 5s with no noticeable difference in wear. maybe just the luck of the draw. and I'm lucky to be ok with either fit
Evo speedgoat was the greatest shoe for 50k and over distance still. Unless they figure out how to make an amazing carbon fiber shoe id take that over any shoe in a 100 mile race.
the 6 will be coming out this year
Thanks for the link.
Unfortunately i'm from EU , so shipping would cost to much ...
It's a minor inconvenience compared to the other problems, but I have a solution for the shoelace problem.
I replace the laces on all my running shoes with 1/8" marine shock cord. With shock cord, you can make the tension tight, but the elastic stretches so you never get bruising on the top of the foot. The cord expands on impact to reduce the risk of Morton's Neuroma on the mid-foot. You can put on the shoe and tighten the shock cord in 5 seconds and they NEVER come untied.
If you start running or worse, racing, and realize your shoes are too loose, you can snug up the fit with a quick tug. I use cord locks and then tie a knot in the ends so the cord can't slide back through the cord lock. After tightening, I loop the excess cord under the top and bottom laces so it doesn't flop around.
You might need to widen the eyelets on some shoes. You can do that with a nail or screwdriver. I buy shock cord in 100 foot rolls and cord locks on eBay.
