Some of us have posted this and talked about it but I guess Astro's attacks sort of drowned out the good. She is a wonderful person with a wonderful story. Fans heard the announcer talk about a 20 year old small town girl who competed in Naia, who overcame cancer, now make a world team.

Cancer survivor ? Does this mean she’s on a “TUE” red blood cell enhancement ?
She is much faster than Hiltz at age 20. Not even close. So what do you base your eye test rating on? I prefer to stick with real data. Wiley is the top miler of all time.
From the race footage, it was apparent the winner was much more stronger physically, and was able to maintain her running form much better through the finish line, agreed?
Wilson obviously has had more years than Wiley to develop physical strength. I haven’t followed her career, but in the past, I pegged her in a tier well below the level of Mu and Hodgkinson. I’m not sure yet if she has significantly improved this year, but she looked physically impressive running against Wiley yesterday.

That's correct. Allie Wilson is good enough to maybe make a outdoor global team but has no shot at a global outdoor medal.
Indoors? Well, if enough of the top runners don't feel like running indoors, then maybe she has a shot at this year's indoor world championships.
Just from the US, Ajee Wilson, Raevyn Rogers, and Athing Mu won't be at indoor Worlds. If a few more of the world's top 800 runners skip indoors, then maybe Allie Wilson can sneak onto the podium.
She would have a better chance of making the Olympic semi or the Olympic final in the 800.
This is true. She had the 8th fastest time in the world in 2023. She nearly beat #3 Natoya Goule in Bellinzona, 1:57.53 to 1:57.64, and if the race was 810 meters she gets her. Only had the 19th fastest time in the world in the 1500m.

The US is loaded at the women’s 800. Multiple women with the potential to make the Olympic final won’t make the team. Mu, Rogers, both Wilsons, Akins, Wiley, Willis, Hurta-Klecker. Just having the potential to run sub 1:58 won’t guarantee you a spot. She’s obviously got a ton of talent, but the US women’s 800 final is as deep as any event at the trials.
