Jesuit also has junior Cressman who has been on varsity since freshman year and ran a 9:54 3200 during freshman track, but nowhere to be found since February of this year
menlo could be an interesting team to watch in division 5. If they got a transfer and stay healthy, they could be a contender for a top 5 california team.
landon pretre - 8:53 (11) William Hauser - 9:20 (11) Henry Hauser - 9:48 (9) Jared Saal - 15:07 (3.06 mile course) Jonah Block - 4:45 (9)

Better than Yosemite for sure. Menlo’s 5th returner is way better.
Crystal Springs Uplands won D5 the last 2 years and returns 3 scorers from the state meet, and also a 10:18 freshman in the 3200. But, like Yosemite, their 5th returner is not as good as Menlo’s.
Another solid D5 team (took 3rd at CIF last year) San Francisco University They return their top 3 from the state meet - 16:24, 16:26, 16:27 Also a 9:55 freshman 10:16, 10:24, 10:29 juniors that weren’t on varsity for XC Also another 16:53 5k junior who doesn’t run track.
This team also has a strong freshman class
So they are looking to be really deep too, especially for a D5 team that is losing 4 seniors off of their varsity.
D5 is looking to be stronger than they have been as of late.

Can the Yosemite boys team win the D5 state title? They were close the last 2 years and they return 4 scorers (Stegge, Ruiz, and two Olney brothers). They will just need a 5th runner.
Top 4 will be seniors so this is looking to be their last chance of winning the state title.
no overrated there should be 0 talk about this team. they have talent but don't do anything with it every year. they jogged in woodbridge and took another team from being able compete in it
Rightfully so. When you look at what other teams return in D5, Yosemite probably won’t even podium.

Holy carp!. Have you contacted the police.
I meant nowhere to be found in the results since February 16. He hasn’t raced since then.
He DNSed at the Dublin Distance Fiesta on March 16.
Saw in another thread that Braden Herrera no longer attends Newbury Park. Looks like they won’t be making the state meet this year
I don't think it's impossible for them to make it with next year's guys. Div II isn't super strong outside the top 5 schools or so. This year at the Mt SAC rain course, you could scrape by to state with 1-2 sub 15 guys and then 3-4 around 15:30-15:40.
Dickran, Watson, Bernardino, Sax, Ingersoll is at least competitive. 3 Sub 16 3 mile XC guys and 2 just barely over 16 at least shows room for improvement by next year.
The doomed category is more around 17 minute 3 mile guys who are older than 9th grade. Just not enough time left in HS for them to improve.
Dana Hills: Even though they are losing much of their top 7, they still have Evan Noonan and Oliver Hunter and some freshman turning into Sophmores who can hopefully surprise us this upcoming season. Seems like a great family dynamic.
Dana Hills returns 2 varsity scorers - Noonan and Hunter. Other top returners: Moersch (Jr, 4:29) Williams (So, 4:39) Not a bad group of 4. Now these 1600 performances of Moersch and Williams need to translate to the XC course and they just need a 5th man. Probably freshman Craven (4:51) can step up. Dana Hills always seems to find 5 guys.

In the D2 Southern Section, I think the teams that will make it will be: Hart, Tesoro, Glendora, Woodbridge, Ayala, El Toro, Ventura El Dorado will be barely missing out but still better than Newbury Park. But Newbury Park will do better in 2025 than in 2024. In 2024, they will have only 1 or 2 seniors on varsity, and they are going to have some solid underclassmen

Watson has been constantly injured the last 2 XC seasons. Hopefully he has a healthy senior year.
D2 Southern Section isn’t as easy as people think. Hart had some good track times and weren’t able to make it to state for XC. That’s how hard this section is. Maybe Hart is better at track than XC.
