they'd be good enough for me if durability wasn't a concern however I don't want to replace shoes every 200 miles which was about all i got out of the pair of Ons I used as compared to 400-500 from Nike Frees or 500-700 from pegasus... I'm an old guy with no regard for wanting to run faster at this point ...
You're conflating their lifestyle shoes with their actual performance running shoes. The Cloudsurfer, Cloudstratus, Cloudmonster, Cloudeclispse, and Cloudboom Echo 3 are proper trainers/supershoes. They've made serious strides. Look at any OAC athlete's instagram and see what they're training in and try em out. They're way different than the ones you see on the streets/worn by moms (generally the cloud 5 which they don't even market as a running shoe)
They have a pretty talented track team in Boulder. Some of their shoes are good, too. I think they will be competitive in the trails eventually as well.
