Anyone else deal with this? Eventually I just walk out to car for a while. Then come back in, “ok, ready”? Then another 10 minutes. Probably 45-60 minutes from the time she first said she was ok to go.
shes prefers it, doesnt feel pressured to leave can take 55 minutes to say goodbye at her own leisure, i stay until event ends or we say goodbye, and leave promptly.

Thanks for waiting outside, plenty of time for me to give her a proper goodbye

She may prefer you depart early for other reasons, then.

Just find an unused bedroom and sneak in a quickie with a friend she’s already said goodbye to early on in the cycle. That’s what I do. I even subtly encourage her to say goodbye to the ones I like early.
It is what it is. When we go out I just accept much of the time will be spent waiting for her to get ready and to leave. Pressing them just leads to hostility.
Sit in the car and blast the horn. I guarantee the embarrassment will get her moving fast. You will have to deal with some lectures about rudeness later, but it's worth it to light a fire under her azz.
I will tell you what I find just as annoying. I will be driving with a girlfriend to visit another couple and on the way she is talking a little trash about them. As soon as we are greeted at the front door she starts spewing compliments at them. Oh you look so great…just a bunch of compliments and they return the compliments and I am thinking like what the hell?

Fake word made up by stupid young people with no social skills
Lady, do you understand that language is organic and that there is a reason the Oxford English Dictionary went from version 1 to 2 and is now in the process of developing version 3. For instance, the word scofflaw was created by the Baltimore Sun in the late 1800s (off the top of my head) and was in the second version of the OED, but not the first. Let me guess, you are a school teacher and you tell people not to end sentences with a preposition.
