Chisolm of ND is the one who made the first K as fast as it was. Why I do not know. She gapped the field and did not really slow down so the field went fast as well.
Brilliant move! She sped up the race and caused some teams to go out too fast (BYU!) ND ended up on the podium because of that!
They and she have done that a few times - it clearly is a tactic they must think works for rthem (or they train for).
If everyone on BYU ran the same times they ran at PreNats on the same course in the rain they would have won. And that is with Frentheway scoring 21 instead of the 12 she actually scored.
That is 102. You would have to work out the displacements to get the exact scores but they would have won.
At PreNats they went out in 3:11 instead of sub 3 at Nats. They missed a huge opportunity by getting caught up in the stampede. Of course, other teams were also affected. All seven of NAU went out sub 3. That probably cost them some points too in the end.
That's where the whole thing got started. Isn't it a lil weird that a bunch of fomer BYU runners are still hanging around college town with their cult coach running for a team called taylor made with no shoe deal?
And I'm the loser.... these women will be telling their story one day like Jenny Simpson did but about being brainwashed to give up years of their lives to advertise for a freaking coach rather than themselves.

I don’t agree with all of this- but I do think it’s wild the logo the women who are doing ALL the work for is the coaches name and not advertising for themselves and also sorta… what’s the word… a god like statement?? “TaylorMade” ?? She made them? She is the all powerful? This has Big Baller Brand written all over it

Weird to still be coached by the woman who made them a national champion? Weird to continue to live in an area that is a distance running Mecca? Weird to be able to train in what is the home state for many of the athletes and where most of their family is located?
