Any recommendations for a shoe to race and do workouts for 5k up to half marathon? I have tried a few workouts in the Saucony Endorphin Pro 2 and hated how instable they felt (not sure if it's the plate or the upper or what). I'm intrigued by the Nike Streakfly but not sure they'd be appropriate for 13.1.
Streakfly feel like garbage for long reps. Good for a road 5k especially for their price ($100 when on frequent sale), but the lack of a plate is very obvious.
I'd say vapor fly . Also like takumi sen 8
VF2 is about the fastest 5k/10k/HM shoe out there. The Streakfly is indeed garbage. The shoe gives you ZERO back. It's basically just a mushy NB Rebel V2.
If you want a lower stack super shoe the Takumi Sen is the only good option. Great for track workouts or even track and xc races if you don't want to wear spikes. But you are going to give up a few seconds in road races compared to a full-stack super shoe.
