The nike has fast shorts for 30 and aeroswift shorts for 90 now. There is almost no difference, except the aeroswift have a flat waistband. The aeroswift seem to feel a little better and I bought a couple of pairs for races but I don't think they make a performance difference, maybe in something longer than a marathon or a very humid race, they could prevent chafing on the waist.
I have some overpriced gear from lululemon and vuori. I like the way it fits and the vuori shirts I own can be worn out, they don't look like goofy tech tees.
I once bought a pair of lulu shorts bc I forgot my running stuff (often I run between going home and leaving work). Lululemon was the only store around selling running shorts shorter than 5" inseam.
I have some friends who LOVE tracksmith though. To me their gear is nothing special, but these friends will buy tons of their stuff, even waiting for their new gear to drop.
A lot of women really like lulu and they seem to make some of the best looking gear for women.
