I wasn't old enough to vote for or against him so I say this as someone who is just watching from the sidelines, but these all sound way too vague to take seriously. Bottom line is he has free speech rights to claim he won the election regardless of what the correct vote count is.
Does he have free speech rights to call GA up and say find me 11,780 votes needed to win the state? Does he have free speech right to submit a false slate of false electors in states he lost?
None of this is comfortable. But if it is not prosecuted it will be attempted again. In 2020 the US dodged a bullet that would have ended 200+ years of democracy, but just barely.
I'm not a free speech lolyer, but yes. Since he didn't "steal" a single vote, it's all talk, and talk = free speech. My PERSONAL opinion is this all needs to be left up to the voters and not the courts. If the voters choose Biden or Trump again then that is our choice and we need to stick by it instead of trying to use the courts against democracy.
lol, the hits keep coming. the Communist Regime, and its supporters, are making their bed with traditional Americans. truly sad how limp you folks are. this is definitely a temper tantrum for the ages
And yet 50% of registered RepublicaBBidens still want him to lead the party and 75-90% of Republicans will still vote for him. Hillary wrong about a lot, but y'all are deplorable.
We're smarter than you. A 95% liberal media and a liberally run country by a lying stealing piece of sh*t Biden and you voted for him. His incessant lying about money, his son, the pipeline, Ukraine "$ Benefits", etc... Of course they are going to lie and make indictments on Trump, what did you think? I could write paragraphs of the lies about Trump but you aren't worth it. Soon it will be 2024 and the Democratic Leaders aren't looking forward to it. You're one of their little sheep, but many, not you, have wised up.
How's the 401K? Have a good paying job right ? Able to afford more stuff these days? And that concern about a recession, still there? Biden, from his basement, in his diaper and in between falling off his bike and down/up stairs, has made America wonderful again.....

And if the pressure campaign and false elector scheme had succeeded what then? You would have been ok with him overthrowing the result of a democratic election?
Thats not how it works. You can challenge the election results in court. When you lose 80+ challenges in front of judges - some of which he himself had appointed -, it was time for him to put on his big boy brief and say I fell short in the election, not attempt to criminally overthrow the election results.
It wasn't easy for Al Gore either and in his case he had won the popular vote. But you suck it up and move on. But that does not appear to be in his nature.
This is the worst indictment ever. Why is he not charged with incitement? The co-conspirators are all lawyers giving legal advice? What a fing joke, motion to dismiss, I wanna see how this joke of a "prosecutor" is going to show intent.
3. Obstruction or attempt to obstruct an official proceeding
4. Conspiracy against rights

This wasn't about speech. A conspiracy means there was a plan to interfere in the "official proceeding", count #3 means he actually tried to pull it off as opposed to just planning, and #4 means he was trying to invalidate people's votes by overriding them. Way more important than tweets or truths or whatever interviews he gave or rallies he held.
It's also EXTREMELY difficult to get a conviction on this kind of conspiracy charge. So either Smith is reckless or he has a strong case.

Sorry but in America you have the right to have your day in court, even 80 times if you want. In fact, part of democracy is the right to challenge the results. There's no law against too many lawsuits -innocent until proven guilty.
The DOJ is an embarrassment, nothing but a political prosecution. Now we prosecute political opponents when there are no crimes. Dems, you need to just beat him at the pools. Instead you are unifying the Republicans to elect Trump.

It’s the younger generation like you that I feel sorry for.
Never in this country’s history was it so apparent that we have ZERO qualified candidates to run this country:(
The doofus currently in office is too old and just not cut out for the job. His lifelong political career means Jack at this point. And he WON the election!
Fat Donny should have just taken the high road after the loss and sat back and waited. The job would have been his again. That’s sad because he’s just a POS as a human being. Entitled bald a-hole.
Now he’s been in court more than he’s in the buffet line.
I read it and he didn’t do anything illegal. Unethical? Yes, but illegal? No.
What we’re seeing is political war games. Have the Biden’s used politics to acquire their wealth? Yes.
Did Trump cry like a baby and falsely claim cheater cheater? Yes.
The thing our nation has a drug problem, alcohol problem, and abuse problem. But we’re being distracted by theses old man politicians and their political war games.
Mike Pence is getting there, putting on the big boy briefs perhaps realizing that former guy put his family in harms way and it is time to man up.
Mike Pence statement: “Today's indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States...Our country is more important than one man. Our Constitution is more important than any one man’s career."
