Does he have free speech rights to call GA up and say find me 11,780 votes needed to win the state? Does he have free speech right to submit a false slate of false electors in states he lost?
None of this is comfortable. But if it is not prosecuted it will be attempted again. In 2020 the US dodged a bullet that would have ended 200+ years of democracy, but just barely.

You were… 17 in 2020? In 2012 you were… nine? I will say this to you then: before Trump there hasn’t been anything like this in my memory, which is back to the 1980 election. It’s been a painful first hand education in how fascism happens. Through all the decades of the Republican Party as the worldwide defender of democracy, I never would have believed this could happen.

You are only protected under free speech if you truly believe what you are saying. If he believed that the election was stolen , then he's good. The EVIDENCE shows he knew he lost the election and decided to say it was stolen because he wanted to win. READ THE INDICTMENT.
