Actually insane.
4th all time. Unfortunately they don't wipe out the records of convicted dopers (Kiprop)
That's a World U18 record for Myers, beating the mark of Kemboi from 2006.
#5 all-time
Noah Ngeny ran 3:43.40 mile which converts to 3:26.85 for 1500m
1. 3:26.00 Hicham El Guerrouj
2. 3:26.34 Bernard Lagat
3. 3:26.69 Asbel Kiprop
4. 3:26.85 Noah Ngeny (on-route)
5. 3:27.14 Jakob Ingebrigtsen
Ngeny didn’t run 3:26.85 en route. That may be what his mile converts to, but the fact is he only ever ran 3:28.12 for 1500. Jakob is 4th all time.
I honorarily wipe them in my head.
The pacers were way out in front for like 800m. I thought Jakob had given up 400m in before I saw the first lap split was a 54.6. 3:26 definitely looks on the table.
Huge shoutout to Stewy MF McSweyn too. Made it 1200m in 2:46.8. He's in monster shape and could've run super fast today if he actually raced. One of my favorite athletes.
Imagine running 3:31 for a lifetime best and still being a full four seconds behind the leader. Congrats to all these spectacular athletes, and hope Jakob can keep the momentum going. So rare to see someone race so regularly and with such consistency – wish Americans and Europeans did the same.
#3 behind El Guerrouj, Lagat and Kiprop.
Prefontaine was 3rd in the 1972 Olympics.
obviously not how it works, and make your mind up if you mean en-route or converted
Not how the all-time list works. It might be more impressive than 3:27.1, but unless he ran it en route it doesn't count
my bad everyone. i used this stupid website to convert and thought it was en-route
#4
Dude is unreal.
Spectacular race
Can’t change history. Doping or not, Kiprop ran 3:26, so it should stay on the books.

How about Andrew Coscoran 3:30.42 for Ireland in 4th? That's a national record and the 2nd in the distances in less than 24 hours after Brian Fay's 13:02+ last night.
Why should we comment in these kind of threads, unless someone want to be downvoted by the fanatics.
Jakob=incredibleness. Very very special athlete. I'm so glad to be watching this live
Everyone should bookmark the Alltime Athletics site.
Jakob’s run today was the 8th best performance all time, and makes him the 4th best performer.
