She does well when she gets dragged to fast times in these Diamond League races but unfortunately doesn’t have much chance in championship 800s. Just doesn’t have the pure speed. Would like to see her take a real crack at the 1500 this summer.

1500m coming up 8/4, agree in theory she's better there (4:01pr).....but last year she stumbled into finishing tie 2nd for whole DL in 800 (1:57pr), so very easy for her to get into dl800s.
In theory with 26/54 she has speed; oddly it doesn't translate to a kick.
Perhaps she now gets into a nice run of form. To me she's just looked kind of flat for all of '23 so far, today was better.

What can Akins Rogers and Edwards run since they beat her handily last week?
Hurta-Klecker had an off day at USAs, that's all. Akins, Rogers, and Edwards haven't broken 1:59 this year, so they are unlikely to do anything amazing at Worlds.
If you take a look at the 100m splits it was a typical 800m finish, it was more Goule and Nakaayi fading and Moraa's last 2 splits were 14.8 and 14.6. Caldwell was the only other runner who was sub-15s for the final 100m.

Again , womens 800 domestic races haven’t improved in 20 years . Field goes out in 59/60 always and the winner staggers in at 201 and everyone think that is good .
where do you place in the Diamond League & National Champs?
Posters can share their opinions of professional athletes. No one asks Tom Brady critics how far they throw a football.
Yes they can. And other posters can comment on posts, and question posters' qualifications to pass judgement on runners. Nobody was silenced in this thread, only questioned.
She looked sluggish throughout the heats. There is a lot of straining but little happening when she races. It's cool to see her getting overseas to race and challenge herself. My question is, when will she get the full sleeve tattoos on both arms look?
Not sure if I'd ever seen Hurta-Klecker running before, but her form made me cringe. Lots of twisty stuff with the arms. When is Alberto Salazar eligible to coach again? I think her form could use some fine tuning.
