Incredible last lap and fantastic opener for him. If he got a shorter haircut I’m sure it would make him run even faster!

Good interview. he said that he didn’t have a lot of confidence going into it, and said he would be happy if he ran under 3:39. Well he crushed that and now his confidence has grown significantly!

Given he’s been dealing with injuries the last 12 months or so and has barely raced it’s a pretty phenomenal first real race of the season for him. To have that kind of finishing kick based off little to no races I’d say it’s very reassuring.

This was a good interview and very honest. Hopefully the snarky critical people that tend to post a lot can empathize with what it’s like to go through repeated injuries and regain form. Good luck Cole! It’s going to be an exciting US champs.

After running 56s & 57s then a 54, yes, it's impressive.
Not to be confused with running 64s!!
Have you ever even run a 1:54 800?!? ...now add a 54 on the end of that!

Why so much hate for Centro? Is it the way of today’s youth to be disrespectful? I don’t get it. The guy is an Olympic champion. I think he deserves better.

Not being disrespectful towards Centro, quite the contrary. He already had a storied career and anything else he does is the cherry on top.
I was just pointing out the Hocker is pretty good at outkicking Cooper and Yared and could spoil their fun
