I've been saying it for a while. Wiley is America's future in the 1500/mile. She won't beat Mu at 800 nor could she beat Tuohy at 5000, but in the mile range, NOBODY is going to beat her.

Watched the race. Incredibly impressive run. Since her NAIA season is over(notice she was wearing a Nike non-descript outfit), her time won’t count on the NCAA list but

She hit 1100m in 3:01 high and ran her final lap in 61 low. WOW.
By the way, this is also a new meet record. Old record was:
4:03.64 by Cory McGee (New Balance) in 2020

Fast time. Unfortunately with the Huntington University doping scandals there will always be questions.
That is a huge step up for her. She is just 19 1/2 (born 10/24/03, according to World Athletics), and this appears to be an 8 second pr. Cain ran 4:04 at 17, I think, and 4:03 for Efraimson. 4:03.22 seems to be currently 4th in the U.S. lists this year. But this is 4:22.7 converted for the mile, so worth about a six second pr over her hs record. Impressive.

Neither was Valby but that never stopped you.
Notably, she also ran 6 races last weekend. They really shouldn't be burning out their phenom like that for the long term.
I had suspicions for a couple of days because of very faulty algorithms that were equating her race to 14:40. But the HU scandal is a matter of public record and an embarrassment to the entire sport.
