    Tori as was obvious, was an incredible athletic talent but one that struggled with genuine mental health issues. Not "sports psychology" issues - you know, athletes that get into high level sport then when the realization sets in that it's actually hard start claiming "mental health" - but genuine mental health issues.

    There was the publicized incident with Miller-Uibo in Braumanns group that led to her needing to exit the group, an incident at a bank which resulted in her entering psychiatric care for a period of time and other sad incidents over the last 2-3 years all surrounding real mental health issues.

    So she wasn't blackballed by anyone, she was a young woman that needed help - but one that did not have the infrastructure around her to get her that help on a consistent basis. This really sucks - my interactions with her were only positive (for what that is worth) and it's a real tragedy.

    Thanks for this explanation. People on Twitter are already apportioning blame and that's never a good idea.

    Well, I've said what I know. There might be more information that her family may or may not disclose when or if they see fit. For now we shouldn't speculate and unite to wish her family and friends well.

    I really appreciate the info. That response wasn't really directed at you, more a general response into the ether. I don't follow the minutia of T&F that closely so all I knew about her was she looked like she had a promising future and then she wasn't at any of the televised meets I watched.

    Earlier I said it looked like suicide but I guess I shouldn't jump to that conclusion. I know quite a few people that accidentally OD'd while self-treating depression so it could easily be that.

    Her history does seem to point towards mental illness but I hope anyone that is feeling like she is gets help before they end up dead no matter the method.

    This appears to just be shoddy clickbait reporting quality by ESPN - combining headlines / stories. From what I can see the two deaths appear to be unlinked / unrelated.

    Fwiw ArkansasRazorbacks.com reported Davis' May 1 death on May 1, and WA reported it on on May 3
